Memories

Well, Christmas is almost here and today I went to the museum on a field trip with my son. I was in the section where you can see trends from the different decades and lo and behold, in the 80’s display there was a huge computer!

I completely forgot that my mom surprised us all with a ‘computer’ when I was a kid for Christmas. It was a Commodore 64…and it was awesome! Sort of. I remember plugging in pages and pages of code just to change the colour of the screen and make a bird fly across it. The bird even made a sound if I got everything right. Of course not knowing how to type, it took me forever to enter everything in, just for a 10 second payoff, but hey – it was the 80’s after all.

So here’s to another holiday where some great and long-lasting memories are created!
