Fun background images for Zoom and Microsoft Teams Video Chats and Meetings

Are you are looking to spice up your Zoom and Microsoft Teams Meetings? Setting interesting and fun backgrounds (some might call them wallpapers) is a great way to break the ice.

Update: I added some Christmas backgrounds for all of you folks stuck at home still conducting meetings and gatherings over online Zoom and Teams Meetings! I also added the Four Seasons Landscaping background because … you know, it just needs to be there. ๐Ÿ™‚

Update 2: I added a bunch of Bernie Sanders sitting (with his mittens) backgrounds as I imagine those will be popular this week. ๐Ÿ™‚

Update 3: I added a bunch of golf backgrounds today after getting a request.

If you have an idea for a background, let me know and I might add it!

Wanna say thanks?

You can buy me a drink if you loved this (yes really!).

On to the backgrounds!

If you want to grab one of the images, just right click on it and choose “Save Image” and you’ll be able to download a larger version of the file.

Right click and choose “Save image as” to save the file to your computer.

Ready to up your game?

I didn’t know Microsoft Teams offered virtual backgrounds?

UPDATE: Teams finally allows for “Show Background Effects” (recommended size 1920×1080). Teams comes with a few, but you can add your own to this folder: %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds\Uploads

Kyle also just put together a video on how to add Custom Virtual Backgrounds to Microsoft Teams now that the functionality has arrived. You can check that out here: https://youtu.be/sDfB4ID3LyY

I’ve also been using XSplit Vcam. It isn’t amazing but it does get the job done in Microsoft Teams. Basically, you install it and it takes over your webcam. Then you choose “XSplit Vcam” as your webcam – note that images you use are mirrored so if you have backgrounds with text, etc. in it, you’ll want to mirror them and re-save them. You can learn how to use it here: https://youtu.be/wU1xOP7UEj0

Anything else for meetings I should know about?

Um ya, check out Snapchats “Snap Camera“. This will be fun!
