Whoa SharePoint 2013. Where did the Recycle Bin go?

Looking for the Recycle Bin in SharePoint 2013? You won’t find it in its previous location (quick launch with All Site Content).

Never fear, its not gone.  It just seems pretty clear that Microsoft is just as eager as most of our customers to remove some of the clutter from a SharePoint page and as such, they’ve moved it in all site contents. So, you can find it here:

  1. Oh my… after looking for who knows how long (even on Office support – which was useless) I stumbled upon your site. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for taking the time to post this 🙂

  2. I realise this is an old article, but still came up high in my list when I googled it.

I had a similar issue today, found the user only had view permissions as a visitor, therefore cannot get to site content. What bothered me was that he must have had more permissions to be able to delete the file in the first place. Closer inspection showed he had been given full control to one of the libraries in the site. This allowed him to delete items from the library, but he could not get to his recycle bin 🙁
