OMG! They hired a girl!!!!

It’s true!  The ramparts have been breached and the once all-male bastion that was itgroove has fallen.  We now have a permanent female presence in our office in the person of Kelly Marshall. 

We are probably similar to many other tech firms in the “maleness” of the place, geek-girls just don’t seem to populate our end of the spectrum.  It’s a pity, really, because most of the geek-girls I’ve come across in my travels have been dynamite techies.

All that aside, it is great to have Kelly on board with us.  She is a fabulous addition to our team and she has already altered the dynamic in the office for the better (mind you, she seems to get a lot of my sly, literary references so I’m already biased in her favour).  So, to our newest and youngest team member from the grumpy old guy on the other side of the partition, a hearty “welcome aboard”!  It’s good to have you as part of the team and I’m really looking forward to seeing where you help take itgroove.  It’s been an interesting ride for the last 5 years, I think it will become even more interesting with your addition to the mix!
