My handy Office 365 checklist for troubleshooting Hybrid user migrations to 365 with DirSync

Were running a Exchange 2013 Hybrid setup with Office 365 and Dirsync. I find this short list of items handy when creating users and troubleshooting issues with them getting moved/synced into the cloud.

1. Run DirSync. Make sure the user created in AD appears in the Office 365 admin portal, and the status is “synced with active directory”.

2. Next check the Office 365 Exchange Admin Center, and then locate recipients -> contacts. Make sure that the user exists there as a mail user.

3. Next try to do the move mailbox to Exchange Online.

365

This helps combat the:

Error: MigrationRecipientNotFoundException: A recipient wasn‎’t found for “[email protected]” on the target. Create a recipient of the appropriate type for this migration on the target and try again.
