Access Request Settings Part 2

Good news Timmy, I jumped on the phone with a very nice and helpful support desk administrator at Microsoft and we managed to resolve this issue together.  If you:

  • Navigate to Site Settings > People and Groups > … Members, then
  • Click on Settings > Make Default Group

The error gets resolved.

I don’t have an explanation for how this error state was created, but at least we have a solution.

  1. Hi Bruce. I’ve seen this many times when the provisioning hasn’t quite applied the template fully – typically when being created via CSOM and a timeout occurs. I know that doesn’t help, but might shed some light on the root cause. Cheers 🙂
