“Policy does not allow granting permission error” when trying to share calendars in Office 365

Policy does not allow granting permission error

I ran into this error today when a user was trying to share his calendar after we moved his account from on premise to the cloud. Other users who have already shared their calendars should still be fine.

“Policy does not allow granting permissions at this level to more or more of the recipient(s). Please select another permission level and send out the sharing invite again.”

Policy does not allow granting permission error

The fix is to share your calendar from the Online Portal (login.microsoftonline.com).

Login to your Outlook Web App (IE) and Share the calendar as per normal.

Strange things happening lately in Office365/Outlook combo….
