How to force a full index (search) crawl in WSS 3.0

I keep having to look for this syntax, so I figured others might be looking for it as well.  I’m assuming you have your search settings configured properly (and there are lots of ways THAT can go wrong), so this is just syntax for forcing a full crawl on your content Data.

The STSADM command is run from (or in your path), typically:

C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft Sharedweb server extensions12BIN

And the command to force a full crawl is:

STSADM -o spsearch -action fullcrawlstart
