Yay, Microsoft brought back OCR to Office (2013)

While poking around Office 2013 Add-On’s in SharePoint Designer 2013, I discovered Microsoft has either rebuilt (or re-licensed) OCR support for Office 2013.  You may (or may not) know that in 2010 OCR was stripped out of the product for some reason and we had to add that support from Office 2007 buy running the installer for that product.

So … that’s good news.
