Victoria, BC – This year marks the 10th anniversary for local Victoria technology firm, itgroove Professional Services Ltd. From its inception as a one-man home office business to its present status as a growing team of technology professionals, the one constant has been delivering technology support that works for its customers. With 20 years in the technology sector, owner and principal consultant Sean Wallbridge has seen tech companies and tech trends come and go.
The addition of five new staff in the last three years is a testament to the steady success and recession-proof business model that Wallbridge has crafted and nurtured. “We’re proud to say we made it through the recession with our team intact,” says Wallbridge, “It’s clear that the ongoing investment in cutting-edge skill development has allowed us to remain agile to the shifting needs of the SMB technology consumer.”
This year also marked a significant milestone for itgroove, as they became the only company in Western Canada to employ three Microsoft SharePoint Most Valuable Professional (MVPs), an award granted to “exceptional, independent community leaders who share their passion, technical expertise, and real-world knowledge of Microsoft products with others.”
Wallbridge ultimately attributes the company’s success to its focus on developing long lasting relationships with local businesses, including BC Ferries, Total Delivery Systems, Tourism Victoria, and the Victoria Royals. “We’ve not been chasing the quick buck,” says Wallbridge. “We understand that although clients hire itgroove, they ultimately want the relationship they’ve developed with our staff so we’ve instead focused on building a team of trusted technology advisors and keeping them happy, and therefore our customers, happy.”
itgroove originated helping international business owners improve their business processes remotely, yet maintaining existing on premise systems and networks for local SMB clientele quickly became their forte. As the demand for SharePoint-based technology support increased, so did the company’s reputation as the leading SharePoint shop in town. The company continues to expand their expertise and shift the scope of their services as businesses look to Cloud services such as Office 365 to provide affordable and scalable solutions.
