SharePoint 2010 is not supported on Windows Server 2012

This is subject to change as this likely won’t stay this way forever as newer cumulative updates come out, but at this writing, this is still the case…

Folks,

One might assume that the latest version of Windows Server (2012, due shortly) would work with the latest version of SharePoint Server (2010) … but one would assume wrong.

1. The installation process fails
2. The prerequisite installer fails
3. The Powershell cmdlets fail
