A few nasty Malwares lately namely the XP Defender variants once cleaned leave a few lasting issues that are truly maddening.
The main issue is whenever you try to open any application it asks you what you would like to use to open it. To fix this just download this registry entry and voila programs open again. I can’t believe how easy this is to fix, it was SUCH a pain in the ass before I found that link.
