Apparently… Microsoft plans to release SharePoint Designer, as a FREE software package/download as of April 1st.
If the blogs I’m reading and gathering this from are trying to pull an April Fool’s joke, it is pretty lame and lacks creativity.
But if it is true, folks will soon be able to download and install the tool for free and start wrecking their SharePoint sites everywhere 🙂 —> so make sure you have solid backups!
Tip: Hold off buying SharePoint Designer for the next few days, we may find it is available for free April 1st or shortly after. It’s not on the product website yet, but some are saying it is just a matter of a few more days… htp://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointdesigner/default.aspx
