I have used Microsoft Virtual Academy for a lot of personal training. There is a lot of good information and a number of great free courses available through MVA. I even got to record two MVA sessions while I was at the MVP Global Summit in November, 2014, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience even though I was pretty nervous going into the first session.
A number of MVP’s as well as Microsoft staffers have created a wide range of content for almost any particular Microsoft-oriented subject you could imagine. And there is more being created all of the time. Much of the content is arranged into training tracks that align with the study requirements for many Microsoft certifications. And, of course, there are the intense Jump Start sessions that do deep dives into all sorts of subjects.
I’d like to share a few links from MVA that speak to the IT “generalist” or, more specifically, the guy (or gal) that is tasked with knowing all this stuff in smaller organizations.
