Learning a Thing or Two

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to sit in on a class to learn how to use OneNote.

I don’t know if it’s obvious (she says sarcastically), but I am not always excited or even willing to learn anything new when it comes to computers. Sean has been talking about how much I would love OneNote for ages now. I didn’t know much about it, other than you can make checklists. Don’t tell him this, but he had me at checklists…

The class was taught by our newest employee, Kelly Marshall. I could tell right away that she was as excited about this product as Sean was. This is always the best quality in any teacher in my opinion – someone who is excited to teach you what they know about a product they believe in.

I have sat in on a few courses in my time, and I have to say that this one just made sense right away. Not only does it keep track of my copious amounts of checklists, but it keeps track of anything else from recipes (including pictures) to all of those little things floating around in your head that you remember right when you’re about to fall asleep. I am forever sending myself an email so I won’t forget something. This way it’s all in one spot and my inbox won’t be full of clutter.

Sean and I can even share notes about things like Christmas ideas for the kids or what to pick up at the grocery store.

It will take a bit of time to break me out of my post-it-note habit, but I am going to give it a serious try!
