Sean Wallbridge
Yup, itgroove is 10 years old! You’ll see lots on our various blogs as well as our website about the anniversary so I won’t drone on about it here. But I do want to single out and commend Sean for having the stamina to sweat it out over the years in order for us to get to this milestone.
I joined itgroove 5 years ago on October 1, 2008 and roughly a month later the economy went into the toilet. Many company owners would have simply “cut and run” and ejected the most recently hired staff and/or everyone but the absolute essential core. Not Sean (bless him)! He gritted his teeth and dug in, as did the rest of us, and working as a team we grew the business even during bad economic conditions. That is not an easy thing to do and, for a business owner, it has to be a pretty harrowing experience. I mean it ‘s not just his mortgage that’s at stake, it’s everyone’s (metaphorically speaking)!!
Sean set the rhythm (he’s a drummer, don’t ya know) and the rest of us filled in the rest of the score and here we are, a thriving, buzzing, happening organization of 10 persons ready to write the next 10 year’s of itgroove’s history.
So thanks, Boss! You’ve created something pretty special here and I thank you for letting me be a part of it (and for having the enduring grace to let me remain part of it even when we are at loggerheads). I can hardly wait to see where the next 10 years takes itgroove. One thing is for sure, the journey will NOT be boring!
