Blogging and Shlogging

As summer draws to a close, I find myself completely lacking in any sort of routine. Normally I do prefer a relatively scheduled life, but when summer comes, all bets are off.

In fact, I am so relaxed right now that I’m having trouble showing up to any appointment without running out the door at the last second because I’ve been procrastinating so much. If you know me, you know this is very unlike me as I’m usually at least 15 minutes early for everything.

In late spring my friend and I decided it was time to start getting in shape so we started shlogging (extremely slow jogging) a few times a week. We were both really starting to feel the benefits of regular exercise. Pretty soon school was out and apparently our idea of shlogging is not exactly what our kids had in mind for fun. So here we are, two months later and back to square one.

What else do I have to confess? I’ve fallen off the blogging wagon as well. Apparently I’m having a hard time getting inspired to write when I have a small person standing next to my head saying ‘mom, mom, mom’ every few minutes or so 😉

Only a week and a bit left until school starts and life is crazy again and I’m (hopefully) back to regular blogging and shlogging!
