I\u00a0use\u00a0Quick Notes in OneNote every single day<\/span><\/strong> via the Send to OneNote feature<\/strong> <\/em>to jot down bits of information that I don’t want to misplace or accidentally close without saving (i.e. the great Notepad disaster of September 2013<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Up until recently I thought there was no way to “convert” a Quick Note to a Page without\u00a0going through a 4-step process:
\n1. create a\u00a0new Page in the actual location I wanted the\u00a0text to reside,
\n2. give\u00a0the Page\u00a0a title,
\n3. cut\/paste the Note from the Quick Note onto the page, and then
\n4. delete the Quick Note.<\/p>\n

Why did I feel it was necessary to go through all these extra steps?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because Quick Notes are pink<\/strong> and\u00a0<\/strong>lack a Page Title. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

For some odd reason I assumed that Quick Notes were fundamentally different than Pages – in hind sight I was definitely riding the assumption train to confusion-ville.<\/p>\n

I was puzzled why using the\u00a0“Move or Copy” function to move the Quick Note out of the Quick Notes area would not magically convert the pink title-less Quick Note to a white Page with a visible title.<\/p>\n

Silly Kelly!<\/p>\n

After taking a few seconds to poke around in the Ribbon, the obvious answer\u00a0became clear.<\/p>\n

Quick Notes are simply Pages that are formatting differently.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The page is only formatted to\u00a0have a pink\u00a0page colour\u00a0and hidden\u00a0Page title when they are created using the Send to OneNote feature – see:<\/p>\n

Now if you add a Page to the Quick Notes section using one of the Add Page buttons, the new page is white with a visible Page Title (see below):<\/p>\n

If you want to make your Quick Note look like a “normal” page,\u00a0follow these steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Use the View Tab and the Page Colour button to select “No Colour”.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
