Today\u00a0a client who agreed to act as a reference to Microsoft for a project we worked on together. Microsoft asked\u00a0me to make sure the client’s email Spam filter did not block their Reference email.<\/p>\n

Since editing Junk Email Options is not covered in\u00a0email 101, here are the six steps to adding an email address to a Safe Senders List in Microsoft Outlook 2013<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n

1. In Outlook 2013<\/strong><\/em>, select the “Home” Tab.<\/p>\n

2. Locate the “Delete” group, and\u00a0select the “Junk<\/strong><\/em>” command button.<\/p>\n

3. Select “Junk Email Options<\/strong><\/em>” from the dropdown menu.<\/p>\n

4. Junk E-mail Options menu will appear. Select the “Safe Senders<\/strong><\/em>” tab.<\/p>\n

5. Press the “Add” command button.<\/p>\n

6. Type or copy\/paste the email address into the field and press OK.<\/p>\n

\nVoila!<\/strong> <\/em>Any emails from that email address will never be treated as junk email again.<\/p>\n

These are the exact same steps for Outlook 2010<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

If you’re still using Outlook 2003<\/a> and Outlook 2007<\/a> there a few extra steps – start with the Tools<\/b> menu >\u00a0Options <\/b>> <\/b>Preferences<\/b> tab > E-mail > Junk Email.<\/b><\/p>\n

The steps for Outlook Web Apps<\/a> are also different – junk e-mail settings<\/strong><\/em> are found in the Options<\/strong> <\/em>section\u00a0\u00a0via Block or Allow<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
