I compare it to having 16 tabs open in an internet browser. It&#8217;s hard to focus.<\/p>\n<p>After a while you start looking for ways to group pages together. If you go the route of dividing them into separate Sections you end up with a whole new visual clutter issue &#8211; and you end up clicking between locations a lot more to navigate to what you&#8217;re looking for.<\/p>\n<p>Our team at itgroove have come up with two ways to group notes in OneNote 2016. They can be less useful when you&#8217;re looking at a section with several dozen pages. See how they lack a clear dividing line between each group of sub-pages:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/itgroove.net\/oh365eh\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2017\/05\/OneNote2016-Pages-Organize-Subpages-Issue.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2390 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/itgroove.net\/oh365eh\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2017\/05\/OneNote2016-Pages-Organize-Subpages-Issue.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"363\" height=\"153\" srcset=\"https:\/\/regroove.ca\/oh365eh\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/05\/OneNote2016-Pages-Organize-Subpages-Issue.jpg 363w, https:\/\/regroove.ca\/oh365eh\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/05\/OneNote2016-Pages-Organize-Subpages-Issue-300x126.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 363px) 100vw, 363px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is why I tend to prefer using Option 2&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 2: Hyphens or Underscores<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A more creative &#8216;workaround&#8217; is to add a page to a section and use hyphens or underscores in the Page Title.
