Fortunately my colleague Bruce Smith, author\u00a0of <a href=\"https:\/\/itgroove.net\/seek\/\">seek Blog<\/a>, recently\u00a0assisted a client\u00a0who\u00a0was\u00a0experiencing\u00a0this very issue, and shared how he was able to resolve the issue with me.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"x-none\">Here&#8217;s how to make the hidden file visible again:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go into the Library Settings. Under the Permissions and Management heading, click on &#8220;Manage files which have no checked in version&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Find file that is &#8220;checked out to others&#8221;. Check the box beside the file and select &#8220;Take Ownership of Selection.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Press Ok in the&#8221;Are you sure you want to take ownership of [file name]?&#8221; popup.<\/li>\n<li>The file will now appear under the list of files &#8220;Checked out to me&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Go into the library and find the file.<\/li>\n<li>Check the file back in.<\/li>\n<li>Add a checked in comment.<\/li>\n<li>The file will now be visible to everyone.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Reminder: You will have to have &#8220;owner&#8221; level permissions (i.e. Design or Full Control)\u00a0in the Library to be able perform the steps listed above.<\/p>\n<p>Step 1:<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\"><a
