On December 1st, 2014, a colleague of mine posted the following in our itgroove\u00a0Corporate Yammer Network:<\/p>\n

“Kelly, When I can use Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V to drop images right in this box, then Yammer might win over Outlook.”<\/p>\n

I get it. Having to\u00a0save an image to the desktop\u00a0then upload it to a location before being able to use it is a pain.\u00a0The extra steps are a key detractor why many people stick with Outlook emails to share information and why many people don’t get into SharePoint Wiki pages.<\/p>\n

WARNING:\u00a0 shameless plug for my favourite Office program in 3-2-1: <\/strong>Programs like Microsoft OneNote eliminate all these extra steps, allowing you to insert a screen clipping, cut\/paste an image, or drag and drop an image directly onto a page.<\/p>\n

At the time (Dec 2014) \u00a0Yammer required you to click on the paperclip icon to browse to upload a file from your computer. See:<\/p>\n

Fortunately, now you can drag and drop a file into Yammer! Select a file on your desktop then click and hold down\u00a0the left button on your mouse to drag the file into the field – works both with new posts and replies to existing posts. See:<\/p>\n
