How to Install and Run Best Practice Analyzer (BPA)<\/p>\n

  1. Download the BPA from: Microsoft SharePoint BPA<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Run the executable and extract to (your folder choice may vary): D:TopBPA<\/li>\n
  3. Then Perform the following:<\/li>\n
  4. cd topbpa<\/li>\n
  5. sharepointbpa.exe -cmd analyze -substitutions SERVER_NAME name_of_your_server<\/small><\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note: the ‘SERVER_NAME’ is not *your* server name, that is the syntax telling it you about to specify a server – note that text needs to be in upper case too.<\/p>\n
