Every now and again you buy something that just flat out works and you want to tell everyone. Well, that\u2019s the case today. I just went out and bought a new HP LaserJet Pro 1536dnf MFP unit for home and it is a smashing piece of kit! Now, I\u2019ve always been a big fan of HP and specially so of LaserJets but there was a while where lower cost LaserJets were to be avoided. I\u2019m happy to say that this seems to no longer be the case because this unit is an absolute gem \u2013 drivers are very nice and easy to install on both my 64-bit Win7 box as well as my older XP machines. The scanning function on the PC\u2019s works very smoothly, the copy functions on the box itself could not be simpler and the setup is a breeze. And I like the simple duplexing feature.<\/p>\n
But for sheer \u201ccool factor\u201d I have to say that I\u2019ve fallen in love with ePrint. My printer has an email address (courtesy of HP) and I can send an email to that address with an attachment and it \u201cmiraculously\u201d prints on my printer. How cool is that?!? And I can send \u201cprint emails\u201d from my iPhone which is also seriously cool.<\/p>\n
I know Sean blogged about the same feature on his HP PhotoSmart printer a while back and I have to agree, it\u2019s not earth shattering but it IS very cool and really handy.<\/p>\n
