I was asked to move emails from an employee who had left and the position was being taken over by an existing staff member. First I tried to connect the old user account into Outlook in order to export the email to PST, but it wasn\u2019t connecting no matter what I tried via the Exchange settings. I had to connect the account via the 365 POP settings and then export the email to a PST file. I then went to do the same with the new account, but I found out Office 365 does not support imported PST data being synchronized back into the cloud (via POP). So all the email I imported in was there, but no matter how long you wait it will not go into the cloud. It was then when the light bulb<\/strong><\/span> went off and I realized that BOTH accounts were Kiosk accounts and DUH<\/strong> they don\u2019t support Outlook connectivity. That\u2019s why I couldn\u2019t get them to connect via the Exchange settings. I also read that to get around the limitation you can use Outlook 2010 and configure it via IMAP. I checked the users account settings in the Office 365 console and it says IMAP is disabled and you cant turn it on with a Kiosk account. I tried anyways with 2010, but no luck.<\/p>\n So to make a long story short I just bought the new user an E license imported the email and then put the old license back and canceled the new one. It was quicker in the end and you could always swap accounts around if you have extra.
