Recently the family and I went on vacation for a few weeks. I brought one hard cover book and one book on my iPad. I didn\u2019t think for a second I would end up using my iPad. Even though I don\u2019t read as often as I like, I love holding a book and feeling the paper as I turn the page. I have a tradition where I close the book and fan through the pages when I\u2019ve finally completed it and I always feel a sense of accomplishment when I\u2019m done (if you read a novel as infrequently as I did, you would understand).<\/p>\n
I was really surprised when I found myself leaving the heavy book in our hotel room and bringing along the iPad to read instead. The iBook is pretty amazing. You can actually slowly turn the page and see through it to the other side, just like you would a piece of paper! You can jump to whatever page you like, you have a light built right in and you can download whatever you want in seconds.<\/p>\n
I have been fighting this for a while, but I love the fact that I won\u2019t have a ton of books taking up so much precious storage on the shelves. It\u2019s also pretty handy to travel with.<\/p>\n
I know this is not a new thing, but it\u2019s new to me and I wanted to share!<\/p>\n
