It appears to happen regardless of Windows version (7, 8.x, 10), and is only an issue in IE (it doesn&#8217;t appear to occur in Firefox, Chrome, etc.).<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As it turns out, disabling the &#8220;SharePoint Export Database Launcher&#8221; add-in in IE11 should do the trick.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A little background on the &#8220;SharePoint Export Database Launcher&#8221; \u2026<br \/>\n<br \/>The <a href=\"https:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/office\/cc264297%28v=office.14%29.aspx\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">ExportDatabase Control<\/span><\/a> is an ActiveX control that enables a user to create or open a database that contains data from a list in Microsoft SharePoint Foundation.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As such, assuming you&#8217;re not often in the business of exporting your SharePoint list data, this solution will work just fine as a work around for the time being.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a step by step guide to disabling the control.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div>In IE, go into the settings and choose &#8220;Internet options&#8221;\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/regroove.ca\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/05\/051916_0819_TroubleLoad1.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>In Internet Options, Choose the &#8220;Programs&#8221; tab and select &#8220;Manage add-ons&#8221;\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/regroove.ca\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/05\/051916_0819_TroubleLoad2.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Now select &#8220;Toolbars and Extensions&#8221;, find and select the &#8220;SharePoint Export Database Launcher&#8221; and click the Disable button near the bottom.\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/regroove.ca\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/05\/051916_0819_TroubleLoad3.png\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Hopefully this will help get you over the hump.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On a bit of a side note, there&#8217;s also talk that the SharePoint Spreadsheet Launcher may also cause issues, John Day wrote about this in regards to SP2013 and IE10.
