Click &#8216;OK&#8217; to refresh the page.\u201d with XSL Link"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I recently came across an issue where a client of ours was using the &#8220;XSL Link&#8221; in the Miscellaneous section of a list view web part.  What was happening was when the user clicked on the context menu of an item in the list, they would receive the following error message.\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14pt\">Item is no longer available. It may have been deleted by another user. Click &#8216;OK&#8217; to refresh the page.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It turns out that the client was using a local site collection asset in the XSL Link.  In other words, the path to the file was similar to &#8220;<span style=\"font-family:Courier New\">\/SiteAssets\/XSL\/no-items.xsl<\/span>&#8220;.  Doing this can cause the error above.\n<\/p>\n<p>To resolve this, you need to install the file on the SharePoint web server(s) in the LAYOUTS directory either in a WSP solution, or directly in the farm under the following;\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft SharedWeb Server Extensions<span style=\"background-color:yellow\">14<\/span>TEMPLATELAYOUTS (for SharePoint <span style=\"background-color:yellow\">2010<\/span>)\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"color:red\">OR<\/span> C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft SharedWeb Server Extensions<span style=\"background-color:lime\">15<\/span>TEMPLATELAYOUTS (for SharePoint <span style=\"background-color:lime\">2013<\/span>)\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Such as this below:\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mmman.itgroove.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/mmman\/2014\/07\/071014_0444_ResolvingIs1.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\n\t<\/p>\n<p>Then you&#8217;ll instead refer to the file more like this in the XSL Link instead &#8220;<span style=\"font-family:Courier New\">\/_layouts\/no-items.xsl<\/span>&#8220;.\n<\/p>\n<p>To assign the XSL Link on a list view web part, edit the web part.\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mmman.itgroove.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/mmman\/2014\/07\/071014_0444_ResolvingIs2.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\n\t<\/p>\n<p>Then set the XSL Link in the Miscellaneous section.
